| Module content | This course builds on the Operations management 1 course by introducing the students to systems thinking and requiring them to apply systems thinking and operations management principles in establishing and managing a business in a simulated environment. Student groups establish and run a company in competition with others, and apply all the disciplines of management and entrepreneurship to make the business successful. Students will learn from both their failures and successes in actually managing the operations of a business in a simulated environment. Students will then be required to use that learning and the learning from other MBA courses in solving an operations problem or challenge in an actual business. They will present their solutions to the entrepreneur and the management team of the business and they will be evaluated on the practicality, relevance and usefulness of their solution to the business in question. |
